Sometimes it only takes one try to get a recipe right. Sometimes it takes well over a dozen tries. I do not stop until my result is delicious, foolproof, and worth the time of its intended audience. I've been testing recipes long enough to spot potential problem areas and nip them in the bud. I've been developing recipes long enough to avoid problem areas altogether.
